About

Nicole Sorensen

Haven Co-Founder Nicole Sorensen has always had a passion for beauty. From spending her childhood days doing hair + makeup with her sister Cat of Honey-Do Artistry, to pursuing a professional career in the beauty industry; Nicole is very well versed in the art of beautification. Nicole’s professional career has ranged from working in salons across Northern California doing cut and color, to offering her professional services on site for special occasions (specifically weddings,) in the Sonoma Valley wine country.

Throughout her career, she has continued to learn and grow with the ever-changing industry keeping up to date with styles + trends by attending classes and trade shows. Nicole’s professional journey in the beauty industry eventually led to her dream of opening a salon. In 2016, Nicole, along with partner Heather Lennox opened the doors to Haven Salon. Her vision for Haven is to be a place where you can feel your best self + feel good about the way you look.

Outside of the salon, you can find Nicole spending time with her wonderful husband, Paul and beautiful children, Presley + Levi. Nicole and her husband share a deep-rooted love for music. When they’re not on the back porch enjoying the sunshine and jamming out to an eclectic mix of music, they’re likely attending a show in the city, or traveling to a festival on the coast. Nicole lives her life with vibrant color + passion; be it in the salon, or her everyday life.

Heather Lennox

Haven Co-Founder Heather Lennox first developed her love of color and styling while pursing her education in the Bay Area. Upon completing her training at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco, Heather was recruited to work as a colorist and educator at Architects & Heroes in San Francisco, where she fell deeper in love with the artistry of color. Working in some of the leading salons throughout the area, (diPietro Todd and Dekko Salon to name a few), she continued to gain experience + expertise. Throughout her career, Heather has been invited to participate in some of the industry’s most prestigious global events. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to work as a consultant and educator nationwide as well as throughout Europe and Asia.

After a decade of working in color education in San Francisco, Heather met and fell in love with her husband, Scott in Vegas, and later moved to London in 2008. While living in England, she worked as a Creative Director and head Color Educator, developing and implementing the training and advanced education programs across five London Salons. After a few years abroad, Heather and her husband welcomed their son into the world and decided to return to Sonoma to raise their family. After returning home, Heather set her sights on opening her own salon. In 2016, after finding the perfect space, Heather was delighted to co-found Haven with her partner Nicole Sorensen. Her vision for Haven is to be a place where you can feel safe + free to express yourself and your individual unique style.

Heather also loves searching for unique finds at Antique shops, Thrift stores, and Estate sales. Her finds are just as eclectic and unique as she is. She has quite the eye for all things vintage. She also enjoys going to concerts, enjoying the beautiful outdoors camping in the family’s vintage travel trailer, and just enjoying all the beauty the wine country has to offer.
